Hello Everyone,
Even now, I still feel the warmth, joy, and emotion from last night. My heart is full, and I want to begin by saying a heartfelt thank you to Palma for organizing such a warm, joyful dinner filled with laughter and connection — a moment I will carry with me for a long time.
.
To all the lovely students, colleagues, and dear friends who came to share that evening with me: thank you for your presence, your kind words, your smiles, and for the truly wonderful gifts. I was deeply touched.
Looking back on nearly eight years spent with Palma, David, and the RNAnoTHER team, I can only feel immense gratitude. These years have helped shape who I am today, both professionally and personally. I came as a naive PhD student, full of questions, doubts about myself, and dreams, and I leave with treasured friendships, priceless experiences, and countless memories.
To Palma and David, my beloved and respected mentors:
Thank you for believing in me — especially in the beginning, when I was still finding my way. You welcomed me with patience, trust, and generosity. You guided me through challenges and celebrated every small success with me. I will never forget your kindness. Words are not enough to express my deep gratitude.
To my amazing colleagues and students (Thom, Hieu, Ines, Souhaila, Sebastien, Thuy, Uyen, Yinghua, Galdric, and everyone else who has been part of this journey): thank you so much! Together, we built not just a productive research environment, but a caring, supportive workplace where we helped each other grow and chase our dreams.
I know I haven’t always been perfect. If there were moments when I acted too hastily or lacked patience, I sincerely ask for your understanding and forgiveness. I hope what remains with you is the joy, respect, and care I’ve always felt for each of you.
The difficult moments when we got rejected papers or unsuccessful grants, often made me wish I could be better, more skilled, and more experienced. That’s the main reason I decided to move to a new lab, where I can further enrich my knowledge and develop my skills, especially in the field of immuno-oncology.
But this isn’t goodbye.
It’s a “see you later.”
One day, I hope to be able to return to RNAnoTHER, being stronger, wiser, and ready to stand once again beside my beloved mentors, Palma and David, to contribute to the team’s continued success, to give back to the place that has given me so much.
đź’™ From My Heart to Yours
RNAnoTHER will always be a special home in my heart.
Not just a lab — but a family. Now and always.
With all my love,
Thank you, always.
